Grad-Ji-Ay-Shun
So yesterday was the big Graduation ceremonies. TBH, it was kinda boring.
They gathered us all up into a room like the Nazis did to the Jews, and there were vents in the ceiling. A few of us thought that the administration were conspiring to spray gaseous Arsenic or Stric-9 into the room, but just as we were talking about that, they led us out into Progress Energy Field.
The Arena.
As I was waiting for the lions and gladiators to come out and attack us, I realized that perhaps they weren’t trying to kill us! In fact these new revalations proved to be true. After playing with a couple beach balls for awhile, listening to Pomp & Circumstance and a few other songs, the ceremonies were under way. I was sitting in the second-to-last row, so I was called up as one of the last people. After about 150 names were called, and people walked, it was my turn. Nothing special; the usual teachers hugging and shaking hands and (to quote Holden Caulfield) crap like that
Nevertheless, sitting outside in those robes caused some minor heat stroke and major sweating, so my family figured it was time to grab a snack at Sweet Tomatoes. I realized that many of the teachers I would never see again, and that was kinda sad.
Later that night, my family threw a small (no really, tiny) graduation party in which I was given a Target gift card. Using that money, what else should I do but buy a new PSP game?! So I got Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, which is a lot like Perfect Dark. It’s not bad, and multiplayer on it is awesome. Now I just need to get a PSP headset so I can chat with other players.
To sum it up, Graduation was pretty cool. No more High School! Anyway, I’m off to update all my online stuff to say that I’ve graduated instead of “will be graduating in…”
