New Band on the Block
So there are a lot of local bands in this area. My friend Steve is in a band. An old friend Jason (Sclumpterphae) is in a band that was once called Kritikal Resistance, then Allstrong, and now (I think) it’s back to Kritikal Resistance. My brother, Dave, is now in a band (he’s tried before!) that might actually go somewhere. He recently hooked me up with a demo CD.
My first thoughts were like “Damn, this is fucking awesome shit!” …and then the singer opened his mouth. You see, unfortunately, while the rest of the band kicks some serious ass, the new band Dave is in suffers from a serious problem many local bands share. We were going to call it “Crappy Singer Syndrome,” but then I thought that might conflict with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
Nevertheless, Dave asked me to try to level the volume (meaning I get a chance to play with my new Linux music toys) and generally make it sound like it would live. Although I’d love to share, I was told not to leak it — yet. At least not until he’s got everything sorted out with his band and PR, etc.
If anyone can think of a better name for “Crappy Singer Syndrome,” please let me know in a comment

Bad Vocal Syndrome
Pick a singer you dont like or who can’t sing and name it after them.
Example, William Hung syndrome.
William Hung is that asian singer from American Idol who sang a Ricky Martin song.
I did say brittney spears syndrome, but she not a bad singer. She bad at other stuff though, like parenting.

@Mary Thanks for the laugh, that’s awesome…dunno how well “WHS” will slide as an acronym, but it’s better than CSS for this purpose
Also I’d like to mention WHS sounds similar to VHS, and both acronyms in this case would be used to describe crap

I had to point something out, another acronym you can use is OHS.
It does sound similar to WHS and VHS.

Well, if you want to go any route…
SHS, LHS, PPHS, BCHS, etc., etc.
So unfortunately (although funny), I doubt the same principle can be applied to High Schools
