Openc2e Ebuild Released

---

So, my friend Dylan from #slug.fl invited me to a secret channel the other day. Turns out they were big Creatures fans. They were also developing an open source game engine designed to be compatible with the Creatures Evolution Engine (c2e. or lc2e on Linux).

Enter the casual Gentoo-er, who is delighted to learn there is no Gentoo ebuild for openc2e. Luckily, I fixed that problem. The Gentoo ebuild for openc2e is available here. To install, just drop it into your Portage overlay, as

$PORTDIR_OVERLAY/games-simulation/openc2e/openc2e-0.9999.ebuild

Then just run

Note that $PORTDIR\_OVERLAY should correspond to the PORTDIR\_OVERLAY set in /etc/make.conf. Also remember to unmask any required packages (or, not recommended, ACCEPT\_KEYWORDS=~x86).

Oh, you might want Docking Station, so you can try openc2e out. You can download it here. You can typically launch the program with "openc2e -d ~/.dockingstation"

Good luck, and please leave feedback on the ebuild.
