College
I moved into the USF St. Pete Resdidence Hall the other night. It’s pretty cool, I’ve got nice roommates and I get my own room where I can crawl into and play Neverwinter Nights in solitude.
I also attended my first class this morning — well, I was about five minutes late and the class had already finished…so I technically did NOT attend my first class :/
To make all of this easier, I’ve put a link (on the right hand sidebar, under “Spiffy Badges”) to my Google Calendar (You need a Google account to see it; contact me if you don’t have one). As you can see, I have French class tonight right before my Linux meeting.
Speaking of computers, you’d be surprised at how many Mac people we have on campus. One of my roommates is a Mac user (he’s happy there’s another Windows hater here, and trying to convince the other roommates to switch), and another girl, when I mentioned I need to get a new laptop, said “Get one of the new MacBooks [with the Intel Core Duo processor]! It’s so much easier, and if you want you can [dual-boot] and run Linux or Windows.”
As I’m typing this, I realize I just described a conversation about computers, of all things, with a hot college girl…shit, I didn’t get her room number!
