Spam
I logged into this blog today and saw I had 86 spam comments waiting for me. Even in the time it took me to mark all of them as spam, another 3 spam comments were posted. Time to fight back! I installed a plugin called Did You Pass Math?, which requires commenters to answer a simple math question before commenting. Sorry if it causes anyone extra trouble ![]()

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Add 8 and 10 (required) ”
equals 18
that’s how old I’m going to be in 12 days…
And we (Possum and I) were just talking about that
weird…
Anyway, neat spam prevention ^__^b

I’m posting as a guest to use the math thing (7+4 for me).
I hope this doesn’t frustrate anyone. I can make something simpler that still requires human thought (like “what color is an orange?” or “how many times does the letter ‘o’ appear in this sentence?”) but I think this is rather effective and simple.
By the way, my favorite spam message I received said something like “Nice site. Please don’t delete my links” followed by a bunch of spam!

WHAT?!?! IT TOOK ME AN HOUR TO SOLVE THAT, TOO HARD!
Mine was: “Find the integral of ‘xlog(x)dx’
Took me a bit but I got it!
Gratz to Mary on 18.
