    The point is… it will (hopefully) soon be possible to watch HD-DVD’s on HD-DVD hardware without shoving MPAA’s proprietary crap down your throat.

    It’s not for piracy (though it could be used for that, definitely), it’s a matter of (come to think of it, it does circumvent copyright protection) freedom, especially for all the (and it probably would be used mostly for piracy, copying the disk and redistributing it) linux users out there (but people are better than that, right? Right?!).
